Landscapes of Light from Julio Padron an artist from El Hierro working in painted 3 dimensional plastic designs. This exhibition looks at areas like Caldera de Taburiente, Teide, and La Laguna. The display is free in the gallery area of the Casa del Vino, Autopista Norte, Km 21 El Sauzal.

Beatriz Alonso Quartet

The La Laguna based jazz quartet make the short journey to the capital to perform their blend of jazz fusion and latina. All tickets for this concert are just 10 euros.

Circo Storm, Guimera Theatre, Santa Cruz

Cirque Imaginaire combines all the elements of stage performance including circus, song, and dance in flambouyant style. Storm is the latest powerful offering and the imposing ornamental style of Teatro Guimera will make a perfect setting. Features 23 international circus acts, a newly written musical score and original songs. Over the course of the run there are 19 shows, one a night and three shows on Sundays. Feria Natura Salud, Health And Wellness Fair

This is the place to be for anyone interested in health and well being, some 63 exhibitors will cover all areas including diet, excercise and treatments. At the last 2 yearly fair over 8,000 people passed through this large exhibition hall. As well as the exhibitors there will be displays of techniques and samples of healthy food and drink for individuals and those in the health industry.

Entrance is just 3 euros daily, open from 11 am to 9 pm with good parking nearby and easy access from Avenida de la Constitucion.

Vuelta Ciclista, Tour Of Tenerife Cycle Race

There can’t be many harder places to cycle with speed and precision than Tenerife, up and down those tight mountain roads, through towns and villages and skirting the coast. The annual Vuelta Ciclista takes in most areas of the island and provides a great spectacle at each of the stages, one of the most high profile sees them hurtle down from the edge of Teide national park to the tourist  heart of Arona.

This year it takes on extra significance as plans are well advanced for two stages of the Tour de España to visit Tenerife in 2012 and 2013. As soon as we have the exact route and stage guide we will post the breakdown on this site.
